By joining in a research project you contribute to the development of health-promoting interventions – and broaden the range of your vaccine protection for free. Before the study, you will be thoroughly briefed on its course, your suitability will be assessed, and your written consent to participate will be requested. Usually no payment is offered. As participant, you will receive either the investigational vaccine, a placebo, or a comparator vaccine already in common use. Most studies involve clinic visits, laboratory sampling, and follow-ups by phone or smart applications.
