Our consultants in the medical aspects of intellectual disability work in the day-to-day living environments of people with ID, in close cooperation with inpatient services in ID psychiatry as well as our outpatient clinic which specializes in the medical aspects of ID. A referral from a doctor is required for these services.

Our experts can also be consulted on an informal basis.

Our team includes psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, rehabilitation instructors, as well as service coordinators.

## Our services

We carry out therapeutic assessments related to rehabilitation plans and provide guidance and advice to help with daily routines. We have specialist expertise in the communication needs of ID patients and others in need of special support, as well as in autism, multisensory disabilities, sexual health and substance abuse issues, daily routines, and challenging behaviors. Our priorities are flexibility, multi-professional cooperation, and treating everyone as an individual.

We cover the whole of the HUS region, and we have offices in Lahti, Hämeenlinna, Kerava, Järvenpää, and Espoo.
