The Clinical Trial Unit operates as an integral part of the Heart and Lung Center. We are working with pharmaceutical companies and European research centers to make new methods and medicines still in the research phase available to patients. We conduct phase 1 to 4 clinical trials and also serve as a support center for academic units. We work in close cooperation with Helsinki Biobank, and the researchers at the University of Helsinki are part of our research unit. ## Getting here The Clinical Trial Unit is located in the Biomedicum Helsinki 2 research center in Meilahti (building 22). See the location on the [map of Meilahti Hospital area](https://hus-opaste.hus.fi/). Most of the parking spaces in the Meilahti Hospital area are located in underground parking facilities. At street level, parking space is very limited. Instead of driving, we recommend that you use public transport.
