# Partners of New Children’s Hospital We work closely with our long-term partners for the benefit of the patients and their families and to develop research and treatment of pediatric diseases.  The New Children’s Hospital Foundation owns the New Children's Hospital property. The Foundation promotes children’s medical research, teaching, and specialization in pediatric medicine. The areas supported by the Association of Friends of the University Children’s Hospitals in the five university hospitals in Finland include pediatric research, development of treatment methods and innovations, equipment purchases, patient comfort, and mental health of children and adolescents. At our hospital, you can meet HelsinkiMissio’s volunteer Family Friends, who offer their presence, support and practical help to the patients and their families at the New Children’s Hospital. Hospital clowns delight families on weekdays in our hospital. Hospital clowns support the wellbeing of families and improve the child’s patient experience through joy, play, and imagination. The home-like Ronald McDonald House can accommodate the families and siblings of children with long-term illnesses whose own home is far away.
